13 dead, five critically injured in Sege-Ada highway crash

Thirteen people have died, and five others have sustained critical injuries in a road crash involving a Ford Transit and a Toyota Hiace on the Sege-Ada highway. The accident occurred on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, while both vehicles were travelling from Sege towards Ada. A total of 18 people were involved in the crash, with 13 losing their lives, according to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS).

Firefighters from the Sege Fire Station responded to the scene, assisting in the rescue of victims and managing the casualties. The five injured individuals were transported to the Sege Polyclinic, where they are receiving medical treatment.
