Three Nabbed by NACOC Over Suspected Bolle Jos Network

The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) has arrested three individuals suspected of representing and facilitating the activities of Dutch fugitive Jos Leijdekkers, popularly known as “Bolle Jos,” in Ghana. The arrests follow the reported seizure by French customs authorities of a cocaine shipment allegedly connected to a broader drug-trafficking network linked to Leijdekkers.

According to NACOC, the three suspects remain in custody and are assisting with investigations as the Commission works to determine their alleged involvement in the trafficking operation. The arrests are part of NACOC’s efforts to disrupt international drug-trafficking networks operating within or through Ghana and to prevent the country from being used as a safe haven, transit route or operational base for such organisations.

The Commission said it would continue working closely with domestic and international law-enforcement agencies to dismantle the individuals, financial networks and infrastructure that facilitate the illicit drug trade. NACOC also stressed that the rights and legal protections of all persons under investigation would be respected and safeguarded throughout the process.

The statement was signed by the Acting Director of Public Affairs and International Relations, PNCO Francis Opoku Amoah, on September 14, 2026.
