The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has called on commercial motorbike (okada) operators to enforce strict internal discipline to boost public safety and minimise road accidents. Speaking during a meeting with the Okada Riders Association of Ghana (ORAG)—which included members of the Police Management Board (POMAB)—the IGP emphasised the need for proper rider training, official registration, and strict adherence to traffic laws.
