Former Ghana coach Otto Addo has filed a complaint with FIFA against the Ghana Football Association (GFA) following the termination of his contract in March, according to exclusive information from JoySports. Addo is seeking over $750,000 from the GFA, claiming that his contract was terminated unilaterally.
JoySports reports that Addo made several attempts to secure payment from the football association without success, leading him to escalate the issue to FIFA. After signing a 34-month contract with the GFA in March 2024, Addo was earning a monthly salary of $50,000. When his contract was terminated in March 2026 following the Black Stars’ friendly defeat to Germany, he had 10 months remaining on his agreement.
It remains unclear if any financial settlement was reached between the two parties at the time of termination. However, JoySports sources indicate that Addo is seeking payment for the remaining duration of his contract, which amounts to over $750,000.
