NDC schedules Constituency Executive nominations for September 15

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced that nominations for its 2026 Constituency Executive Elections will officially open on Tuesday, September 15, 2026. In a statement released on Thursday, September 10, the party explained that the nomination process forms part of its broader electoral timetable.

Members interested in contesting Constituency Executive positions are encouraged to take advantage of the nomination period and adhere to all requirements. The party emphasised that payments for picking and filing nomination forms must be made exclusively through its online portal, forms.ghanandc.com, using mobile money across all networks.

According to the statement, aspirants, proposers, seconders, and endorsers must be members in good standing, having fully paid their dues over the past four years. Those with outstanding dues have been directed to settle arrears via 92025# or through the party’s website.

“The National Secretariat wishes to inform all Constituencies and members that nominations for the 2026 Constituency Executive Elections will officially open on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, to commence the process as outlined in the general timetable earlier released,” the statement concluded.

The party has officially launched its campaigning for the 2026 internal elections at the constituency, regional, and national levels. It announced that all aspirants can begin their campaigns in accordance with the party’s rules, regulations, and directives related to the electoral process. Party officials, including regional and constituency officers and ward coordinators, are instructed to allow campaign activities by aspirants within their respective jurisdictions.

However, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) clarified that this campaign window does not apply to individuals pursuing or planning to pursue parliamentary positions, including current Members of Parliament and those considering or expressing an intention to contest parliamentary elections. The party cautioned that any violations of this directive will be addressed according to its rules and regulations.

The National Secretariat urged constituencies, aspirants, and members to conduct themselves with discipline and to uphold the party’s democratic values throughout the electoral process. It also called for the cooperation of all members to ensure a transparent, peaceful, and orderly electoral process.
