Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku has confirmed that the winners of the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League will receive GH¢3 million in prize money. He made the announcement during the GFA’s 32nd Ordinary Congress at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.

Under the new financial package, each of the 18 Premier League clubs will be allocated GH¢1 million, while the eventual champions will earn an additional GH¢3 million. “For the upcoming season, each Ghana Premier League club will receive GH¢1m again, and the winner of the Ghana Premier League will take home GH¢3m,” Mr. Okraku stated.

The champions will also be awarded a JAC vehicle valued at $33,000, adding another incentive to the league title. In total, GH¢9.5 million will be disbursed to clubs as part of the arrangements for the season. The 2026/27 Ghana Premier League is scheduled to kick off on Saturday, September 5, 2026.
